The Imperial House Corrino was once the deadliest and grandest House Major found within the Known universe, and for many thousands of years the imperial family of the Imperium. The official residence of the Imperial House Corrino was the planet Kaitain while their personal fief was the ancestral exile planet Salusa Secundus.
Origins
The events after The Battle Of Corrin saw the newly formed House CORRINO capture rulership of the new Imperium; The Imperial House Corrino was founded on Salusa Secundus by Viceroy Faykan BUTLER, the grandnephew of Serena BUTLER, who took the name "CORRINO" to honor mankind's victory over the thinking machines at The Battle Of Corrin. This battle marked the end of The Butlerian Jihad, mankind's crusade against computers, thinking machines and conscious robots.
Rule
Over the subsequent millennia, the Imperial House Corrino maintained a firm grip on the Empire. House CORRINO'S rule was defined as absolute while one of its members sat on the Golden Lion Throne. Moreover, House CORRINO maintained a large vote in the Landsraad Council (larger than any other Great House).
During their Imperial rule, House CORRINO maintained arguably the most powerful army in the known universe, the Sardaukar. Through their superior abilities the CORRINOS were capable of crushing any militry opposition. It was said that the only way the CORRINO Sardaukar could be defeated would be through the combined forces of all the Great Houses of the Landsraad.
The CORRINOs were rulers of the entire Imperium, and no issues other than Arrakis were known; They ruled less with an iron fist and more with a velvet glove- Over an iron fist. They would backstab and use treacherous tactics in order to maintain their seat in power, but usually without getting openly involved, such as when they supplied Sardaukar to the HARKONNEN to deal with the ATREIDES.
A particularly telling maxim of the CORRINO'S was, "Control the coins and the courts; Leave the rest to the rabble." (Attributed to Padishah Emperor FaykanⅠ, though probably much older than that.)
Downfall Of The Corrino Empire
Complacency, inactivity and corruption eventually weakened the CORRINOS. That, combined with ill-considered decisions by Shaddam CORRINOIV and the scheming of the Gesserit Bene, eventually saw other Great Houses, particularly House ATREIDES, acquire significant respect and credibility in the Imperium.
In an attempt to discredit House Atreides and retain their hegemony, the Imperial House Corrino under the leadership of Shaddam CORRINOIV devised a plan to dispose of their potential rival by ordering them to take over the planetary fief of Arrakis, and then disposing of them through their hated rival House HARKONNEN, via an audacious, and highly illegal, invasion of the planet.
Initially the plan looked to have succeeded. Duke Leto ATREIDESⅠ was killed, and his family abandoned in the deep desert. However, a gradual uprising by the native Fremen, led by mysterious new leader called "Muad'Dib" caught both House Corrino and House Harkonnen off-guard.
After the Arrakis Revolt and the Battle of the Arakeen Plane, House Corrino was forced to relinquish the Golden Lion Throne, after thousands of years of rule, to the ATREIDES. The CORRINOS witnessed the legitimization of ATREIDES rule through Paul ATREIDES' marriage to Shaddam's eldest daughter Princess Irulan CORRINO. ShaddamIV and the remainder of his family were then sent into effective exile on the harsh planet Salusa Secundus, where one of Shaddam's four other daughters, Wensicia CORRINO plotted the Great House's re-emergence.
Reemergence Plot
Wensicia's rather simple plot was to place a spy, Javid (inserting him as Alia ATREIDES' lover), then assassinate Leto ATREIDESII and Ghanima ATREIDES by providing Leto and Ghanima with a royal gift of fine cloaks, into which transmitters had been embedded that would attract laza tigers when they next went into the desert (which, as Frremen, they were obliged to do). When Jessica Atreides escaped to Salusa Secundus
Wensicia's plans were also foiled by House Atreides forces, and her son, Prince Farad'n CORRINO became the official concubine of his step-cousin, the Crown Princess Ghanima Atreides. In addition to providing the ATREIDES offspring that were needed for LetoII's Golden Path, Farad'n also acted as his official scribe.
As a result of the plot, the Gesserit Bene filed a formal protest against House Corrino through Sabit REKUSH of the Landsraad Internal Security Commission.
This spelled the effective end of House Corrino as a political body. Although their bloodline survived, inextricably mixed with the descendants of Paul ATREIDES, as a Great House the CORRINOS ceased to be.
The Corrino Resurrection Plot
Princess Wensicia, younger daughter of ShaddamIV, initiated a plot for her family and the Sardaukar to return to power. By this time, Paul had allowed the CORRINOS to retain only a relatively small Sardaukar force. He has improved conditions on Salusa under the guise of making the planet more hospitable for the exiled CORRINOS, but with the intent to render it an ineffective training ground for more soldiers. Seeing this motive, Wensicia's son Farad'n has tried to maintain the strict discipline which keeps the Sardaukar at their best. However, Wensicia's efforts fail, Farad'n voluntarily surrenders the army to the new Emperor, Paul's son Leto AtreidesII.
Second Reemergence "Plot"
After 5 generations, House Corrino had become so large that it could not effectively be ruled directly by the new Muad'Dib God-Emperor, who cast off the inhabitants of Salusa Secundus as the "new" House Corrino, though still under, effectively speaking, house arrest on Salusa Secundus. Returned to them were the Sardaukar, who were much-weakened by the improvement in conditions on Salusas; More than sufficient as a police and defensive force, but not powerful enough to serve as a war-making force in its own right.

Kaitain was the seat of power of Padishah Emperor, the Royal Court being previously located on the planet Salusa Secundus.
Origins And Description
After centuries as the capital of the Corrino Padishah Empire, Salusa was devastated by atomics; Padishah Emperor Hassik CORRINOIII relocated the Imperial throne to Kaitain, and the renegade House which had perpetrated the attack was exterminated, their name erased from history. (Even now, the name of the house responsible is impossible to discerned, even by UGC investigators).
Salusa Secundus was left as a barren wasteland, both for pragmatic puposes (see Salusa Secundus), and for the simple fact that correcting the issue was an unrealistic option.
Padishah Emperor Hassik CORRINOIII had reestablished the Imperium's seat of government on Kaitain and had sought to rebuild the capital to new heights of grandeur:
"Following the nuclear holocaust on Salusa Secundus... everyone had been anxious to establish an optimistic new order. HassikIII had wanted to show that even after the near obliteration of House Corrino, the Imperium and its business would continue at a more exalted level than ever before."
- Dune: The House Atreides.
On Planetologist Pardot Kynes' visit for an audience with Emperor ElroodⅨ, he notes:
"On the Imperial planet Kaitain, immense buildings kissed the sky. Magnificent sculptures and opulent tiered fountains lined the crystal-paved boulevards like a dream. A person could stare for hours... Kaitain was exquisitely planned and produced, with tree-lined boulevards, splendid architecture, well-watered gardens, flower barricades... and so much more ... Official Imperial reports claimed it was always warm, the climate forever temperate. Storms were unknown. No clouds marred the skies... when the ornate Guild escort craft descended, [KYNES] had noted the flotilla of weather satellites, climate-bending technology that, through brute force, kept Kaitain a peaceful and serene place."
- Dune: The House Atreides.
Corrinth
Corrinth is the lavish capital city of Kaitain; Abulurd HARKONNEN noted how the extravagant beauty of the city differs from his homeworlds of Giedi Prime and Lankiveil:
"The towering government buildings of Corrinth ... rose around Abulurd Harkonnen like a drug-induced fantasy. In his wildest dreams he had never visualized so many soaring edifices, jeweled inlays, and polished slabs of precious stone ... Colorful chime kites were tethered to the tall buildings, writhing on breezes in the perpetually blue skies. Prismatic ribbons drifted across the sky and shed rainbows on the flagstones below. Kaitain was obviously more concerned with form than substance."
- Dune: The House Harkonnen.
"HassikIII... had taxed his subjects nearly into bankruptcy in order to rebuild a governmental infrastructure. Members of the Landsraad, vowing not to be outdone by House Corrino, had built their own monuments in the growing city. Within a generation, unremarkable Kaitain had become an awesome spectacle of Imperial architecture, museums, and bureaucratic self-indulgence."
- Dune: The House Harkonnen.
Corrinth is the location of many important structures:
HassikIII Center for the Performing Arts
The HassikIII Center is described as a "column-studded edifice... (A) cavernous building designed with acoustic enhancements and prismatic windows." The novel notes its "Veined-marble arches with flanking fire-fountains ... [which] spewed feathery arcs of perfumed oils; blue flames consumed much of the fuel before the droplets fell into the lozenge-shaped reflecting pools."
Imperial Necropolis
The underground catacombs of the Imperial Necropolis cover "as much area as the magnificent Palace itself. Generations of fallen CORRINOS inhabited the city of the dead, those who had succumbed to treachery or accidents; a few had even died of natural causes." It is noted that "After moving the Imperial capital from ruined Salusa Secundus, Emperor HassikIII had been the first to be entombed beneath the megalithic building. Over the ensuing millennia, numerous CORRINO emperors, concubines, and bastard children were also buried here. Some had been cremated and their ashes displayed in urns, while the bones of others were ground up to make porcelain funereal pieces. A few rulers were encased in transparent sarcophagi, sealed within nullentropy fields so that their bodies would never decay, even if their meager accomplishments were obscured by the fog of passing time ... As the need for burials continued century after century, the necropolis had been dug deeper, with more crypts hollowed out. In the lowest and most recent subterranean levels, Shaddam actually recognized some of the names of his ancestors."
Shaddam's elder brother Crown Prince Fafnir had been laid to rest among "coffins and chambers for children and siblings," his tomb marked by an "idealized statue" of him.
Also in the necropolis is the walled-up vault of Emperor ShaddamIV's grandfather, FondilIII, known as "the Hunter," his tomb "flanked by the stuffed carcasses of two ferocious predators the man had killed: A spiny ecadroghe from the high plateaus of Ecaz and a tufted saber-bear from III Delta Kaising." It is noted that "Fondil, however, had taken his epithet from hunting men, ferreting out enemies and destroying them. His big-game adventures had been a mere diversion." The mummy of the "long-forgotten" ruler called Mandias the Terrible, known as "the Emperor who made worlds tremble," is hidden in the Imperial Necropolis "in a chamber fronted by a fearsome, life-size statue" of Mandias. ShaddamIV notes when looking at Mandias' body: "I am not impressed... Nobody even remembers him."
Shaddam and Count Hasimir Fenring had played together in the necropolis as children, and it is also the home of spiders, rodents and modified scarabs that "managed to survive by eating scraps of long-preserved flesh." Shaddam intered the remains of his father ElroodⅨ in the Imperial Necropolis as well:
++
"[Shaddam] finally led Fenring to where the sealed ashes of ElroodⅨ waited in a relatively small alcove, adorned with shimmering diamondplaz, ornate scrollwork, and fine gems - a sufficient display of Shaddam's grief at the loss of his "beloved father"... Disrespectfully, Shaddam leaned against the resting place of his father's ashes. The old man had been cremated to foil any Suk physician's attempts to determine the true cause of death."
Imperial Observatory
In Dune: House Atreides, ShaddamIV notes that the Imperial Observatory had been built by HassikIII; Its highest chamber has a "cold, burnished-metal floor" and "a high-powered starscope."
Imperial Palace
The Imperial Palace of Kaitain was the home of the Padishah Emperor and the center of the Imperial government. It is the literal and figurative location of the Golden Lion Throne, which is both a term used to describe the Corrino Imperium and a physical object. The Palace also functions as the Emperor's personal spacecraft. The massive Imperial throne is "carved from a single piece of Hagal quartz, blue-green translucency shot through with streaks of yellow fire." The Palace was in fact a massive ship.
Imperial Prison
Tyros REFFA, illegitimate son of Padishah Emperor ElroodⅨ and Lady Shando Vernius, was held in the Imperial Prison after his assassination attempt on his half-brother, Emperor ShaddamIV. At this time, the Warden of the Imperial Prison on Kaitain was a woman named Nanee MᶜGARR, who had held the position for over 20 years. Ambassador Cammar PILRU of Ix knew of her secret past as a smuggler and escapee from an Ixian prison tunnel, and used this information to arrange for a secret meeting with Tyros REFFA in his cell.
PILRU noted that the prison is surrounded by a labyrinth of canals and waterways lined with thorn hedges. The penal facility is a large structure of gray stone; He entered in a flat-bottom boat though Traitor's Gate, double doors of iron lattice flanked by the heads of executed prisoners on poles:
"Their skulls, still draped in bloody flesh and then coated with a preservation polymer, had been hollowed out and fitted with glowglobes, so that an unsettling ghoulish light shone through the eye sockets, mouths, and nostrils."
According to the boatman, "A lot of famous prisoners enter this way, but not many come back out." It is also mentioned that the infamous Imperial Torture Chambers are based within the Prison; PILRU noted the screams he could hear.
Ishaq Hall of Magnificent Documents
Designed and built by Padishah Emperor IshaqXV, the Ishaq Hall of Magnificent Documents is a repository for, among other things, the handwritten personal diaries of past Corrino Emperors. Historians Brian HERBERT (son of Ambassador Frank HERBERT) and Kevin J. ANDERSON reported in House Corrino that in its time the museum was "one of the most spectacular constructions in the burgeoning Imperial city." However, by the time of ShaddamIV it has been "swallowed by ever more impressive architecture" and "lost among the extravagant monuments on Kaitain." (How exactly they came to this conclusion is unknown.)
Shaddam is shown some of the Hall's contents in Dune: House Corrino:
"During the tour, the Hall Curator showed him constitutional documents, oaths of conditional independence and declarations of planetary loyalty dating back to when the growing Imperium was consolidating itself. A carefully preserved parchment of the first Guild Charter, supposedly one of only eleven extant copies in the universe, sat bathed under filter lights and a protective shield. One display case held a copy of the Azhar Book, the Bene Gesserit volume of secrets written in a long-forgotten language."
Landsraad Hall of Oratory
The lavish meeting place of the Landsraad, the council of noble Houses, is described in Dune: House Atreides:
"...the massive Landsraad Hall of Oratory stood high and imposing, the tallest peak in a mountain range of legislative edifices and government offices surrounding an ellipsoidal commons. The Hall had been erected by contributions from all the Houses, each noble family trying to outdo the others in grandeur. Representatives from CHOAM had helped to procure resources from across the Imperium, and only by special order of a former Emperor - Hassik CORRINOIII- Had the exorbitant Landsraad construction plans been curtailed, so as not to overshadow the Imperial Palace itself.

Salusa Secundus was a harsh desert planet (like Arrakis); Salusa is used as the Imperial Prison Planet, and is one of two planets on which shigawire is grown (the other being III Delta Kaising).
Salusa Secundus is the third planet of Gamma Waiping, designated Imperial Prison Planet after removal of the Royal Court to Kaitain. Salusa Secundus is homeworld of House Corrino, and the second stopping point in migrations of the Wandering Ƶensunni; Fremen tradition says they were slaves on Salusa Secundus for nine generations.
The Padishah Emperors of the Landsraad used Salusa Secundus as a prison planet, a penal colony where the "worst riff-raff in the galaxy (were) sent." Infamously known as a "hell world," the planet's climate is so severe that the "mortality rate among new prisoners is higher than sixty per cent." Because of this, the Imperial House Corrino makes use of the planet as a secret recruiting and training ground for its fierce Sardaukar troops. After Paul Atreides ascended to the Imperial Throne, House Corrino was exiled to Salusa Secundus, with the exception of Padishah Emperor ShaddamIV's eldest daughter, Princess Irulan, who was married to Paul (thus legitimizing his rule).
Salusa Secundus was the capital of the League Worlds during the Butlerian Jihad, and the home planet of Serena BUTLER. It was "a green world of temperate climate, home to hundreds of millions of free humans in the League of Nobles. Abundant water flowed through open aqueducts. Around the cultural and governmental center of Ƶimia, rolling hills were embroidered with vineyards and olive groves." However, after centuries as the capital of the Corrino Padishah Empire, Salusa was devastated by thousands of atomic bombs by "the renegade House"; Padishah Emperor Hassik CORRINOIII relocated the Imperial throne to Kaitain, and the renegade House which had perpetrated the attack was exterminated, their name erased from history. Salusa Secundus was intentionally left as a barren wasteland.
Upon ascension to the throne, the Muad'Dib God-Emperor Paul ATREIDES promised to improve conditions on Salusa Secundus, a promise he kept, but limitedly; Grass and flowing water returned, as well as low shrubs and vine plants (including a variety berry-bearing plant), but it's still hardly a paradise by any reasonable measure.

House Corrino Golden Lion.
Background
The Imperial Sardaukar (pronounced /ˈsɑrdəkɑr/) are soldier-fanatics loyal to the Padishah Emperors of House Corrino, who ruled "The Known Universe" (the Imperium) for over 10,000 years until the events of The Dune Wars. The key to House Corrino's hold on the Imperial throne, the Sardaukar troops are the foremost soldiers in the universe and are feared by all. They were secretly trained on the devastated Salusa Secundus, the Imperial Prison Planet, as the harsh conditions there ensure that only the strongest and most "ferocious" men survive. Sardaukar training emphasizes ruthlessness, near-suicidal disregard for personal safety, and the use of cruelty as a standard weapon in order to weaken opponents with terror. It was reported that during The Dune Wars, a Sardaukar Colonel sneered at Dr. YUEH'S mere mention of the word "pity." Of the elite fighters it is noted that "The commonest Sardaukar trooper lives a life, in many respects, as exalted as that of any member of a Great House." Their uniforms are gray with silver and gold trim.

The Dune Wars Era
As the opening of The Dune Wars, the 81st Padishah Emperor Shaddam CORRINOIV had put Duke Leto ATREIDES in control of the desert planet Arrakis (Dune), which is the only source of the all-important spice melange, the most valuable commodity in the known universe. Leto was aware that Shaddam, threatened by the rising power and influence of House Atreides, has sent him into a trap; Failure to meet or exceed the production volume of their predecessors, the vicious House Harkonnen, will negatively affect the financial and political position of the ATREIDES. Further, the very presence of the ATREIDES on Arrakis inflames the 10,000-year-old feud between Houses Atreides and Harkonnen. A subsequent surprise attack on the ATREIDES by HARKONNEN troops, bolstered by two legions of Sardaukar in House Harkonnen colors, and made possible by a traitor on the inside (the aforementioned "Dr. YUEH") resulted in the decimation of the ATREIDES forces, and the death of Duke Leto. His concubine Lady Jessica and son Paul escaped and found refuge with the native Fremen of Arrakis, a fierce people with secretly large numbers and fighting skills rivaling the Sardaukar. Though the Fremen prove capable to holding their own against the Sardaukar, they are also able to defeat and capture the "undefeatable" Emperor's soldiers. Paul's training in the Gesserit Bene "Weirding Way" and galvanization of their rebellion under his command made the newly-allied Fremen forces unstoppable.
Attempted Revolt
One of LetoII's many gholas (clones) of Duncan Idaho had led the remnants of the Sardaukar in an unsuccessful revolt. This revolt, the Sardaukar's original defeat on Arrakis, and the general decline of the Sardaukar organization had all finally resulted in LetoII's abolishment of the Sardaukar corps. It was resurrected 3 generations later, as 1 corps, divided into 5 bases spaced fairly equidistant around the planet. This was later amended upon the restoration of House Corrino to 10 Corps.
The Sardaukar battle flag is plain black, and that those who became Sardaukar had once been members of a warlike ethnic group on Salusa Secundus called the Sardau. After the fall of the Corrino dynasty, a captain wrote books hearkening back to the glory days of the Sardaukar. One is called The Sardaukar Strike!, the other Sardaukar Victorious; He ended his life by suicide, unable to adjust to new realities.
Strategic Analysis
Report, by Captain J'HIE Fiece, UGC Spacy.
The Sardaukar really ARE bad dudes, at every level. Their defeat on Rakkis notwithstanding, they can face off any THREE Landsraad Armies at the same time, with very little inconvenience. Their use of terror tactics against civilians ensures little opposition; The loss of CORRINO fortunes has seriously harmed the Sardaukar (House Corrino came from Sardaukar stock, therefore the Sardaukar fortunes can not be detached from CORRINO [BUTLER] fortunes), however the return of House Corrino has resulted in a rise in Sardaukar stock proportional; The Salusa Secundus rehabilitation has weakened the army, making them "softer," but by no means weak. During the Robotech ExpeditionaryForces march through the Landsraad, the most significant opposition was by the Sardaukar, most especially during operations on Salusa Secundus. Sardaukar warfighters there shed their still suit/body armor, and used suicide vests in their fight with the REF. Significantly more casualties in REF personnel occurred on Salusa Secundus than the rest of the Landsraad combined.
The Sardau
The Sardau were a tribe of Salusa Secundus which eventually conquered the planet and formed the order of the Sardaukar. By ruthless martial ability they had carved out a large domain; As the Sardau grew in strength they conquered other tribes.
The early custom required annihilation of the enemy of any sex and age, but in time the Sardau perceived a practical use for captives. They gradually accepted them into their ranks and increased in population. Non-Sardau had binding tests of their loyalty in order to avert the growth of an enemy faction with "opportunities" to prove themselves, such as by carrying out a suicidal attack without hesitation. Nevertheless, many tribes submitted to the Sardau as the best guarantee of survival against them. Eventually the Sardau became a nation as they absorbed conquered peoples, ultimately achieving a planetary empire, losing their tribal identity.
One fruitful family (whose name is forgotten) gained ascendancy in the budding nation with members vigorous and capable. The head of that family held the title of Burseg, and one of these Bursegs formed the Sardaukar, at least partly in response to the influx of strangers into the society. The Sardaukar were known off-planet and also served as mercenaries. After the Butlerian Jihad, the Magarians hired them as mercenaries during the campaigns of expansion, but this was the undoing of House Megara. Eventually the Sardaukar catapulted to power over the Landsraad in the Battle of Corrin. Their Burseg, Viceroy Faykan BUTLER, and his family became the Imperial House Corrino, named after the planet Corrin.
Culture
Leadership of the Sardau fell to the most able military commanders. Their rituals of combat, endurance tests, and raids on neighboring tribes, mirrored the eternal war of the larger planetary society, constantly favoring the strong. Sardaukar discipline was ferocious. Their militry superiority derived from natural savagery, intense training, a sense of elect people (promoted by religion), and an ingrained, almost mystical esprit de corps. The Sardaukar was elite- Quick-witted, tough, ruthless, and fanatically devoted to their commanders allowing no questioning or doubting of higher officers on the battlefield.
Upbringing
The Sardau birth rate was such that infants and children outnumbered adults almost 5/1 since successive pregnacies were a part of the tests. Many Sardau children did not live to 12 years because of the hardships, murderous raids and endurance tests that weeded out the weak, leaving the strong to maintain the tribal population. Most tribes of the planet had astonishing fecundity, and therefore the Sardau children reached adulthood in appreciable numbers. Trial by combat began at 6, when children were given a knife and daily instruction in its use. Sparring matches, in which the drawing of blood was encouraged, developed reflexes, technique, and timing, and also eliminated those susceptible to infection. Those who by any reason killed an opponent received special attention (although killing was not generally condoned since late developers were allowed time to reach their full potential).
Twice a year (ages 8-12) each child in mid-summer and mid-winter, was taken empty-handed into the wastes and left to either return or die. After puberty inherent ability would show itself, and then formal death combat was required in a match between fairly equal skill. Survivors passed the first major step of initiation. Fights to the death were permitted among adolescents (the tribe benefitted if the unfit were murdered at an early age), but usually forbidden among adults (the tribe suffered if the best soldier killed the second-best soldier). These pitiless tests discouraged pitting boys against girls, though such conflicts were not unknown.
Males
In the first year after puberty, males were sent on the most difficult survival test, to Skull Reach, the region of the planet with the greatest extremes of temperature. Well over 90% returned alive, reflecting the hardiness of the young Sardau. Then they became full warriors, who could join raids for plunder. By then they had learned swordsmanship, ganja-riding, unarmed combat, and rudimentary tactics. Their skills were honed during adolescence against other tribes (who also raised their young almost as rigorously as the Sardau). Sex for males was a reward for performance in battle. Those who excelled in leadership and prowess were given second-rate concubines; A wife from among the best women could be afforded only if he could pay an enormous bride-price from his spoils of war.
Females
Males had sex as a reward but females bred as soon as they were physically capable. Girls who had reached puberty faced successive pregnancies with high birth rate as a consequence (children outnumbered adults almost 5/1). Those who survived past puberty faced no more initiation trials. Thereafter, the strongest and most intelligent became wives, the less capable became concubines. Concubines were expected to appreciate physical abuse by their masters, wives were expected to accept such abuse willingly.
General Information
Name: Sardaukar.
Colors: Silver and gold trim.
Symbol/Crest/Banner: A plain black banner, 2.3 as wide as it is high. Under field conditions, the flags tend to bleach out, eventually turning white. A white (very light grey) banner is said to be "war crazed" and the command is taken out of operations.
Owner: House Corrino.
Commanding Officer: Brigadier General: CO;
Executive Officer: General
Tactics: Sardaukar war doctrine emphasizes ruthlessness, near-suicidal disregard for personal safety, and the use of cruelty as a standard weapon in order to weaken opponents with terror. It is NOT unusual, in actual war, for Sardaukar to massacre whole villages, to rape, to take slaves. When they take over a village or city, they usually throw people out of their homes or put them to work (without pay, food, or even water) to build barracks, warehouses, bunkers, etc.
The Sardaukar's job was to terrorize the Padishah Emperor's enemies into capitulation without resistance- And their record shows their efficacy. For nearly a half million years, the Padishah Emperors rule was unchallenged. THAT'S results.
