The GALOR-Class Heavy Cruisers were the primary class of warship by the K'Hardishiun military during the latter half of the 24th century. Auxiliary Craft: 15 Shuttlecraft and Fighters. War (part fo the aftermath of the Federation's defeat in the Romulan-Federation/Clingohn War), these were intergrated into the Clingohn Empire. After the Empire was Annexed into the UGC, they were impounded by the UGC and have remained in service with the Spacy ever since. History Named for a hooded warrior from K'Hardishiun mythology, these ships made up the bulk of the K'Hardishiun fleet for at six decades and despite their relatively small size compared to other races' capital ships have always been able to hold their own in battle. They entered service by the 2310s and served widely in the Federation-K'Hardishiun War and the later Dominion War. However by the early 2370s their top status in the K'Hardishiun Fleet was being usurped by the newer, larger KELDON-Class, the design of which built directly on the GALOR-Class space frame and technologies, but after Capitualtion they were deemed cost inneffective, and abandoned. The GALOR-Class will likely continue to serve for centuries to come. The class saw many enhancements added into the design during the course of its usage by the Union. The latest version of the Galor class were known as the Type-5 version, and while keeping the Wave Cannon they also gained proton torpedo launchers. They also have been put back into serivce with the Clingohn Alliance. Technical Data Design The GALOR-class shared the same basic superstructure as their Keldon-class counterparts, but were used far more frequently by the K'Hardishiun military. Commonly Tactical Systems The arsenals of GALOR-class warships vary, though typically they are armed with numerous phaser arrays. Although the GALOR-class vessels were decidedly inferior to the Federation's Galaxy-class starships, they proved to be very effective against MIRANDA-Class and other older Federate starships. In 2370, K'Hardishiun colonists living in the Demilitarized Zone modified K'Hardishiun shuttles, which they equipped with GALOR-Class phaser banks to protect their colonial interests. The Type-3 warships fires a photon torpedo. Subsystems In 2367, the K'Hardishiun warships lacked the ability to read starships transponder codes. Federation starships also had superior terminal interface systems.
