The dirty secret of the Kobolese, that they evolved from robots, partially lives on in the Centurion Robot; Their descendants are a direct line from those robots. (The other half lives on in the ASF-600 Raider Aero-Spacefighter.)

Nobody knows exactly how old the concept is; There are a few historic remnants that are too old for radio carbon dating. The Centurion is considered a cyborg, since they have a biological brain (encased in the torso), but also a robot, since they respond to exacting commands, and take little or no initiative upon themselves.
Centurions consider themselves masculine in nature; Why this should be so is not known. For "lesser" intelligent creatures, Centurions show a surprising array of ideas, including guilt, sorrow, and faith; However, they have no fear in any form. In fact, they're surprisingly aggressive once provoked. Unlike Raiders, they have "restraint" in a fashion; They do understand the escalation of force ladder, and can show unsual restraint, seemingly knowing intuitively when to, and not to, apply the degree of force normaly justified by the situation.
Historic Models:
Mk II: Fully encased bodies. The current Kobolese Powered Armor stylistically resembles the Mk II, and with good reason; The KPA was developed from the Mk II by the Mk VII series, a curious development of history, to say the least.
The Mk V had exposed servos, but far greater strength and stamina. These were developed by the Kobolese from the MkIV (of which no records beyond one photo remain). It is probable the MkIV was a testing and development model, never intended for deployment. The MkV served for just over a millennia and was in fact the most successful version; So much so that they outlived the MkVI and VII, and many remain in service (though in third-tier support units).
The MkVII: The last standard model, the MkVII represented a radical change, both in form and function. It was in the VII that the brain was transferred from the head to the torso for greater protection, and introduced the body form seen in the MkVIII (the current model). Outwardly the two are generally indistinguishable; This is largely because most MKVII's were upgraded to MkVIII (about a decade before The Advent).
The MkVIII: The MkVIII is the current model. The "b" variant has integrated vocoders for communicating with non-Cylons without complicated equipment.
Variants:
Basic Model: About 1 million of the basic combat model exists.
Royal Guardsman Model: About 10,000 of these exist. Outwardly, they appear exactly the same with the exception of a stripe of red paint running from the left shoulder to the right hip, and in fact that is mostly so; Royal Guardsmen are the basic models that have been "promoted" (for lack of a better word) based on prior service. Their only fundamental change is that Guardsmen also have a heavier, ion-based gun integrated into the arms, rather than the light auto-cannons.

Notes:
* Depleting the MDC of the torso will shut down the unit completely.
** Depleting the MDC of the legs will stop the unit (can not run or walk), but not effect the wepaons systems.
*** Depleting the MDC of the communications cluster will render the unit unable to communicate with a higher authority; It will attempt to return to base (it will NOT attack anything unless attacked); When in doubt, they run home to mommy. They can, however, continue to defend themselves, and will do so- Quite violently, in fact. Anything within 50' that can not be positively identified as "Friendly" will be fired upon.
**** Depleting the MDC of the Sensor Cluster will blind the robot, forcing it to use its higher controlling station to target; No bonuses to strike. They will usually be relieved by another unit at this point if possible. Their weapons systems will be taken off-line in this event, forcing them to defend themselves by hand-to-hand combat alone.

Power System: 14 batteries with 24 volts each; Lifespan: 24 continuous hours. A solar panel can be installed on the top of the torso, giving effectively unlimited on-station time.
Cost and Availability: Not. The Cylon Centurions straddle the border of legally a person under UGC law, and they act like it. You can not "force" a Centurion to act; That's not how it works… And he might kill you for trying. Centurion components are not generally worth much, though a rogue researcher might pay a few hundred for intact components; Generally they're worth more money and less risk as scrap metal.
Weapons Systems:
01. Twin Plasma Autocannons (MkVII and MkVIII): The main gun is a pair of plasma cannons autocannons. Used for self-defense. The guns fold into the forearms when not needed.

02. Hand Held Weapons (all models): The Cylons can use any hand-held weapons used by anyone, including vehicle-mounted weapons with appropriate modifications. Limit 1 ton in total weight.

Features:
  • ESM: Radar Detector. Passively detects other radars being operated.
  • Radar: Combat grade radar. Range 10 miles, can track up to 50 individual targets. 95% reliability (00% against unfriendly stealthed vehicles).
  • Blue Force Tracker: Identifies friend from foe. Overlays the information on both the radar, ensuring that friendly forces are not accidentally targeted.
  • GPS: Standard tracking device. Ties into the Blue Force Tracker.
  • Anti-Jamming System: Reduces Electronics Countermeasure by 25% (decrease skill level appropriately).
  • MRA 6 Radios: Allows real time, continuous radio link up with friendly forces in the area via satellite relay over laser radio signals, preventing jamming, and automatically encrypts/decrypts same to prevent eavesdropping.
  • FLIR/SLIR: Forward and Side Looking Infrared. Allows the robot to see targets at night.
  • Virtual Map: Displays a continuously-updating map of local terrain which can be overlaid onto the radar and thermographic scanners. Takes data from and gives data to other friendly units in the area. Effective navigation of 85% as updates come. Good to 50 miles. Specific range can be adjusted in 100 mile increments.
  • Video Recorder: 5,000 hours of recording available.
  • Full range optic sensory suite: Infrared, ultra violet, Magnification, night sight, color filters, thermal imager. Range is about 20 miles for MOST sensors.
  • "Biologic Support Kit": Cylons carry a kit suitable for most biologic partners of nutrient packs, water, and first aid kits. The total pack should suffice as-is for a fully grown Kobolese male for 3 days, with water condensers on-board able to extend this to 1 week (the condensers are meant for the Cylon's own systems protection, but serve the second purpose by coincidence).

  • Combat Profile For The ASF-600 Raider Aero-Space Fighter: Because the Cylon IS a living being, unless he is a pre-determined NPC roll 1D6 times 1D6 for Level Of Experience; Using Hand to Hand: Elite, calculate skill level.
    Skills:
    First Aid/CPR/Repair (self): Cylons can perform repairs on themselves and each (and Raiders) other or perform first aid and CPR on biologicals around them at +12%; They can attempt to repair other types of robots at -5%, except Beorge/Beorge-mot and Soong Androids (they can attempt to make repairs, but these are so alien to them there's a good chance they'll do more damage than good; -25% unless they have dealt with the units before). Attempts are being made to rectify this situation (GM's discretion).

    "Ancient" Centurion." Nobody's sure exactly how old this model is; They were uncovered on Kobol after the Civil War.
    MKII Centurion: The oldest field-ready model for which the Kobolese have any records.
    MKV Centurion: The longest running model, only putclassed in the last melienai; Many are in fact still in service.
    MKVIII: The newest model; Slightly upgraded MKVIIIb's.
