  • In 2451, the UGC switched to a version of the M-6 using a Glock (Terra) frame for it's greater flexibility.
The new frame allowed the installation of an arm brace/stock, increasing accuracy, a slightly longer upper receiver allowing a selective fire switch, and a new generation of barrel extensions that restricted the beam, simultaneously increasing the destructive power (+2MD) and limiting the amount of air the beam makes contact with, making it quieter. The weapon is hardly silenced, but in urban warfare it's easy to miss the report of the gun. The gun can also now mount a Bluetooth-enabled toggle sight that allows the gun to be linked to the user's smart glasses, personal data assistant, etc. The toggle sight has 62 seconds worth of internal memory, or can transfer the memory to the pda to be recorded or re-transmitted (or both).
The stock is fully reversable, though most users find it's easier to use as-is than to revers it (since it's only removing 2 hex bolts, flip it over, and bolt back in, that's saying a lot).
The gun was also developed with a new expanded capacity e-mag; They come from the factory with dual 15 shot e-mags, but threre's also 50 shot e-mags available.
With the arm brace/stock extended and the barrel extension in place the gun is 24 inches overall. Without the barrel extension and with the arm brace/stock closed, the gun is 10 inches overall. Like its standard tech counterpart, the M-6 requires a special holster for the arm brace/stock and barrel extension. The SMG configuration is extremely popular with special operators, and is the standard version for use with the Patrol and special operations… And private militry contractors.
The expanded e-mags, selector system, and barrel extension can be used on the M-27 but not the arm brace/stock.
