![]() Private Security is a critical part of the UGC's defense network, providing first response at every level when properly trained; Unfortunately, low pay results in corner cutting on recruiting efforts, meaning under-trained and ill performing personnel and consequently poor response- The industry tends to attract the worst of the worst where the best of the best are needed. The Council commissioned a study in 2440 revieing exactly this and found that security companies were recruiting people who were variously unfit for service, or forcing those who were fit for service out. Most ominously, false allegation against guards were common, and these most common by guards against each other: False sexual harassment complaints made the overwhelming majority of these complaints (more than the next two categories combined). By UGC law, security guard badges have to show the employer's name and the owner's guard license number, not the company's badge accounting number; The same applies to police, fire, and EMS. ![]() A stripper performs striptease either at a club or at private events (such as a bachelor/bachelorette party), in many cases to fully nude; Interaction by strippers with customers is generally discouraged. A pole mounted to the deck and overhead is common, emphasizing more acrobatics compared to the slow-developing burlesque style. The dancers are normally not employees of the club itself but rather independent contractors. In many regions dancers appeared largely in private clubs, where regulations are less restrictive (but typically are illegal, and thus subject to arrest). Even beauty is not a "requirement", though it certainly helps. Some stripers have professional training in dance, music, and the arts, though most learn these things on the job; Regardless, these skills are considered professional and receive the bonus thereof. Some strippers double in pornography; Typically these "gigs" are meant only as advertising gimmicks. Contrary to popular mythos, most strippers are NOT prostitutes, the "ethical standards" of some critics notwithstanding. In fact, only about 10% of strippers works as prostitutes, and only roughly 50% have secondary jobs as "professional escorts" (with or without sex), and roughly 50% double as private strippers (parties, etc). Lap dances, though some argue otherwise, is NOT prostitution under the law (though it's banned in some areas nonetheless). Despite the dancer's lack of overall intellectual skills, they are in fact dancers; Many are either former cheerleaders or childhood ballerinas. Drug use is generally lower amongst strippers due to employers discouraging the use of drugs, which exceptions for underground clubs. OCC Requirements: PB: 6 or better. Starting Equipment: Any land vehicle other than military or Aerospace (includes anything that flies), 20,000 credit wardrobe (mostly lingerie and costumes, but will also have 2-4 formal outfits and for females a wedding gown), house with alarm or secured apartment building (usually has a guard OUTSIDE walking around, plus doorman who may or may not also be a guard, and lobby concierge who may or may not also be a guard, and possibly even an elevator attendant who may or may not also be a guard), extensive costume selections (many strippers double as costume models and/or professional costumers), and full licensing support (even as contractors, effectively about 200credits per year).
